5G Wireless Technology is the latest cellular technology which gives high throughput, ultra-low latency and larger connection in the network. The data speed for wireless broadband connections using 5G would be at a maximum of around 10Gbps whereas the 4G is limited to less than one Gbps, that’s a lot! Moreover, 5G with higher data rate and advanced antenna technology will result in much more data transmission over wireless systems.

Once the ITU set the minimum requirement for 5G, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), a collaboration of telecommunications standards organization, created standards for 5G.

Adhering to the specification of 3GPP, 5G is designed. With 5G technology, the download and upload speed gets exponentially increased when compared to the existing technologies.

Not only higher data rate, but also has an advantage of low latency i.e. time taken by devices to communicate with wireless networks is also drastically decreased. By considering these advantages, 5G use cases are categorized in three major domains.

And that’s just a bird’s view of the capabilities of 5G Technology! 5G will also provide various network management features like Network Slicing, by using this mobile operator will be able to create multiple virtual networks in single physical network. It will have radical impact in the IoT Internet of Things environment.
